A wonderful landscape, maybe some cool spot in a city, a beautiful and stylish girl and a camera and this is all you need for a good fashion shoot right? Well, not exactly, being the personal photographer of a fashion blogger definitely needs much more than the above.
I am Pete Bellis happy grateful husband and Personal Photographer of Tamara Bellis and with a series of articles we will guide you through the lifestyle of the Shiny Honey Team (Tamara, Pete and Dominikos), this time though, from the Photographers angle and view.
We will present you matters of equipment, photo tips and techniques and in general a lot of motivational content, which will help you be an even better pesonal photographer of your beloved wife, girlfriend or just good friend and associate.
Starting this series we will introduce you with the most simple question... What makes me want to be a Personal Photographer of a Fashion Blogger?
Well, there are millions of answers to that. Essential to all of them is IMHO the feel good factor. Why do I feel good when I shoot pictures ? Is it my love to Photography ? Is it the quality of the time I spend ? Is it some economical profit that I make ? Is it the reputation that I can gain with it? Or is it the happiness that I see in my beloved ones eyes while doing it? Everybody has its own motivation so try to find out which Yours is.
To me definitely it is the beauty of my beloved wife, the shine she has on her eyes while we shoot, the wonderful walk we make while we search for another photo spot, the communication we have while we shoot, the coffee we drink after the shoot, the road back to home when we feel tired physically from the shooting day but happy and fulfilled, the conversations we have while picking the pictures and edit them, the beautiful result which comes out when Tamara posts on Shinyhoney, the lovely comments she gets on Instagram about the pictures and her cute answers, the happiness, the love, passion and devotion with which my wife Tamara works on her Shinyhoney blog. This is my inspiration, my motivation, my everything which makes me get better and better.
So, find also your absolute motivation, your most positive thoughts and feelings and stick on them all the time, before the shoot, while you do it and after. That way you will always have the inspiration, strength and motivation you need to shoot, every time better pictures with less effort, much more joy and even better results.
