Family rituals, what are they? They make family members to feel good, create a sense of identity and belonging. They are full of special meaning and are an amazing part of family lifes. They help to point on who we are and what we value, create shared memories and build family relationships and bonds.
Honestly speaking my parents didn't find it important to spend a quality family time together. My Dad was working from the early morning to the night and I hardly could see him during the day. My Mom was interested in other things so I could have some rituals only with my sister. Nowadays I'm grown up and want to make a difference in my new family with my husband Pete. I believe that there is nothing more precious than the time which we give to each other. I want our family to be better, to have a warm relationships and to make all of us part of something very special, happy and inestimable. That's why we always try to spend our weekends together.
Most of the times we try to keep our weekends in a cozy style. We wear comfortable good clothes and wrap ourselves up into knit sweaters, hoodies and scarves. Our pup has collection of sweaters and wear them too. The only difference he always takes all attention and gets all the compliments. We take him with us almost everywhere and he brings more fun in our life.
At least once a week, we make time for an activity our pup to enjoy. It's a good think to see how your pet enjoy delicious food, walk happy in the beach, listen to music, plays with his toys or see other dogs. Even if sometimes I'm not in mood and try to cut it out, comes Pete and insist on keeping it together. So yes, our pup takes time but gives it back with the positive energy and love.
I think you've learned till now that me and Pete have this thing for coffee... We love to cook it, to speak about it and, no doubt, to drink it. The ritual of drinking coffee takes its beginning from the start of our relationships and continues same well nowadays. We love to explore new places, but always have our favorites when we're boring to search. At Sunday we usually sneak away to a great cafe with the sea view and after walk in the beach with our pup.
Dominikos Dog loves it here in Corfu. There're free from people beaches all winter season long that he can run like Schumacher and do whatever he want. However he always goes to the most dirty places and comes back to me full of sand and other sea stuff. As you can understand here comes up new ritual to clean my pup after beach walks even I would really love to skip it.

At Sundays I try to cook something delicious for our family. My most favorite meals are Meat in French with Potatoes and Muschrooms, Oven Baked Pasta with Salsa and Cheese, Oven Baked Potato with Cheese and Russian Salads. It means a lot to me that we eat all together, wait for each other in table and try to keep it beautiful and nice. Pete always helps to clean from table while Dominikos Dog plays the role of "hoover" and picks up crumbs under the table.

At the end of the day we usually watch Netflix Series, Movies or Sunday Russian Show "Dance" (Pete loves it and learn russian this way). In the meantime we drink Herbal Tea, eat Greek Sweets and Chocolate Balls (I love them from my childhood). When the weekend is over, we're always ready for a new week, to get back to our works and to plan details of our next Sunday.
