As much as I love fashion, I'm the same addicted to food and especially to Greek Cuisine. The cuisine has a culinary tradition of some 4000 years and is a part of the history and the culture of Greece. The most characteristic and ancient element of Greek cuisine is olive oil, which is used in most dishes. It is produced from the olive trees prominent throughout the region, and adds to the distinctive taste of Greek food. The olives are also widely eaten. The basic grain in Greece is wheat, though barley is also grown. Important vegetables include tomato, potato, green beans, red peppers, and onions.
Well I am absolutely in love with greek food, greek history and traditions. My mother-in-law is used to cook something delicious in home and all family is always ready to enjoy it. Actually because of her I had a chance to try so many new dishes for me and to fall in love with them. My favorite greek food is Gemista (stuffed vegetables), Kritharaki ( pasta in the shape of a large rice grain) and Baked Pasta with Salsa.
Since I'm not the best cook (still learning) of greek cuisine, I really appreciate when I can have this food cooked already. The places where you can find it are Greek Tavernas or Street Homemade Food Canteens. I used to go to Tavernas when there is a big company and I want to enjoy fresh fish. However my everyday choice is Street Food which is simple, cheap and cool.
Few days ago me and Pete went out to the city for some greek food and we have found an amazing one, the Κερκυραϊκό Εργαστήρι Φαγητού. It's a little shop which has everything you can only imagine. You can choose whatever you like available, get it in huge plate or in package for home and enjoy the great taste.
I was eating my favorite Gemista with Patates Tiganites (Greek fried potatoes, in olive oil, with oregano sprinkled on top) and Pete was enjoying his Bifteki with rice. Next to it we had a huge plate of Salad from cabbage and green pepper. Well my portion was extremely big and I think I could eat it about 3 times. It was a taste of home: delicious, healthy and cooked with love.
Every portion costs 4.40 euro and you can get an extra potato or rice if you want (Salad is included). It's extremely yummy and there are new choices everyday! Like this we have tried already about 6 different dishes. Make sure to pay them a visit and taste the most delicious Traditional Greek Homemade Street Food in Corfu Town.
Besides, there are special plates in Greece which called Meze (a selection of small dishes served to accompany alcoholic drinks or even food). I love to try new Mezedes and my favorites are Creamy Mushrooms with Oregano and Cheese, Olives and of course Red Peppers with Feta Cheese.

After food we went to drink coffee by walking in the calm streets of the town in Siesta. Can't not to mention how hot it is in the island and I guess it was my last time when I was wearing makeup this month. However my clothes were really perfect this day: fresh, comfy and beautiful in one.
I was wearing my new Off Shoulder Blouse from Rosegal with an amazing details on the front side and cute bowknot. I'm in love with its gentle blue color and pretty sleeves.
