As big fan of Ancient Greece I'm proud to live in the most mythical and divine island of Greece - Corfu (Kerkyra). It belongs to the group of Ionian Islands and bordering by Ionian Sea, the deepest region of Mediterranean Sea. Corfu is the place where intersect the two greatest civilizations of antiquity, Greek and Roman, a crossroads of cultural and trade routes. Here I can feel the breath of history next to me and admire spectacular beauty of nature. It's the point where past, present and future come together, to intrigue people in the time of Homer and even more now.
The deepest part of the Mediterranean Sea, with a maximum depth of 5,267 m is called Calypso Deep. Calypso was was a nymph in Greek mythology, who lived on the island of Ogygia, where she detained Odysseus for seven years.
Well I've lived in Corfu about 4 months and this island has changed my lifestyle and turned my love to Greece to even more strong feeling, which I would call "passion for the island life". And when I say it I don't mean fishing or storm weather, I'm speaking about royal habits of locals which include everyday life in the city of UNESCO, free access to iconic historical sights, constant temperature above 15 degrees even in the winter months, Ionian sunsets full of beauty and inspiration, the most delicious coffee, cute bakeries at every turn and a proud title of Corfu resident.
The place on the Pictures, with the beautiful sea view, is called Royal Garden of St. Michael and St. George. I love it for its silence, calm atmosphere and the chance to see ships and boats set sail from the harbor. For realize every detail of this magical panorama and enjoy the beauty even more, I am wearing Wearme Pro glasses, with lenses for myopia. I Can't explain You how excited I feel, when I'm seeing the world so good and clear (my real view-factor is minus 3 which makes everything blur and neutral).
A cup of hot cappuccino and a delicius greek bun add the final sensual touch for another perfect walk on the Island.
