Living for over 3 years in Greece I've never been in Thessaloniki before. Of course I've checked in at places like an airport, a bus station and a huge shopping mall but I have never walked in the city and felt the atmosphere of local streets, places and people. Since this fall is rich for surprises, one of them was an auto trip to Thessaloniki.
I need to say that after Moscow and European cities like Prague, Paris and Frankfurt, I was expecting that Thessaloniki will be huge, crowded and too complicated to come clear. However from the first second me and Pete went to the central street, I saw people walking next to the sea, drinking coffee, gossiping with friends and actually enjoing their lives. Almost nobody was wearing suits like it was in Frankfurt for example. As I understood, the general idea of Thessaloniki is walk by feet, drink coffee here and there, chill in the sun, get educated (there are so many universities), go for shopping (the street with shops is absolutely gorgeous) and eat local street food.
The city is modern (there is everywhere something interesting to check), very hot (the local temperature is much more higher comparing to other greek cities) and absolutely friendly (people look really happy and cool). It's like a huge town where everybody knows you because "Greek Style" is everything about being friendly and open minded.
Thessaloniki is the second largest city of Greece and the most important centre of the area. Built near the sea, it is a modern metropolis bearing the marks of its stormy history and its cosmopolitan character, which give it a special beauty and charm. In about 4 hours me and Pete have visited popular local places which are White Tower of Thessaloniki (being a chess player it was my favorite spot to check), Central Port, The Kitchen Bar, Museum of Photography, Cinema Museum, Contemporary Art Center and City Center Shopping District.
It was important for me to understand what this city is about... Well first of all it's a student place. There are students and young people everywhere and I guess it's a dream of many greek children from Northern Greece to finish school and go to study in Thessaloniki. You can see colorful graffiti on bus stations, houses and streets. The ammount of bikes is extremely huge and people are active but not fast. There is something different from other cities which I can't describe but can feel very good.
Famous greek city next to the sea, Thessaloniki, was nice to me and I'm happy with what I've seen. It was better than I expected and I think I would come again to spend a day by walking with Pete and our pup in some nice street with a coffee in hand... But as fashion blogger I couldn't not to share the most important detail which you need to keep in mind when you're going to Thessaloniki. It's very sunny and there is no way to survive without sunglasses.
I was thinking that there is no need to wear them while it's end of October but still Greece brings into my everyday life more and more surprises. Thanks to Adore, they're always caring for the health and beauty of my eyes. I was wearing their Natural Pink Sunglasses with a lovely bi-color frame: old-rose frontal and cherry red colored sticks from the new collection. Adore Fashion Sunglasses is the new limited edition sunglasses project branded by Adore. They offer 7 unisex models of sunnies which I can describe as high-quality must have product.
Just have a look at the case for sunnies: pure beauty and chic. It keeps the form and provides guarantee of glass safety. I have it in my bag everytime I go out in case sun is too strong and I need to keep my eyes safe.

Speaking about my outfit for Thessaloniki trip, it was a great choice to keep it simple but with a touch of chic by adding some great details. On top of it were Baker Boy Hat, Comfortable Bag and Ankle Glitter Sock Boots. The look is easy to copy and super comfy for the town exploration.
