Hi Again Tropical Corfu

Our family lives in Corfu for over two weeks already, but today will be the first official post on Shiny Honey about our move back to Corfu. If last year the weather was pretty dry and mostly warm and sunny, this year we are dealing with tropical storms, a lot of rain and wind. Anyway local temperature is pretty high, so I rarely wear coats or jackets.

This year we are living in a different part of island, at the North side of Kerkyra. It's more far away from Corfu Town and there is more calm lifestyle here. Most of the people have their household, garden and animals. For example my neighbors own 2 dogs, 5 cats, about 20 chicken, 7 sheeps, 5 goats and even olive trees. It's a lot of work to do but how great it is to have your own vegetables, milk, cheese, eggs, meat and olive oil.

By the way our home is close to a lot of very beautiful famous beaches, so I really can't wait for summer to come. Nowadays there is everything closed and you can have a nice time without other people disturbing you. Locals are always so full of an endless summer season that during the winter they try to stay at home, drink their coffee and gossip about this and that.

Speaking about me, I love winter in Corfu. It's very calm, without a queue at shops, with a lot of free place to sit and drink coffee, with an absolutely wonderful weather most of the days, with free beaches for walks and picnics and with the most charming sunsets. Maybe I can't go to big mall and spend time by shopping, to walk in streets like Tverskaya in Moscow or MyZeil in Frankfurt, but the fact that local nature treats me like a queen makes a point. I would never exchange an island life to the rhythm of a big city.

The Color Block Shein Sweater is green, cute and pretty like everything in this place. It's an absolute dream to see green grass all year long and lucky me, I'm living in the most green island of Greece and enjoy it a lot. Corfu is a heaven for a "Sweater Weather" and I'm sure you will see a lot of sweaters on Shiny Honey next months.

I am used to say that this island makes me to wear a lot of bright colors, to forget about black and to stay casual and cozy. Well nothing has changed and I'm all about red, green, blue, pink and yellow. Speaking about The Color Block trend, it's like two in one! It makes me to feel a bit happier, brings a positive feeling in my life, makes a difference with a lot of people who don't know other colors but black and grey. If for man it's even okey, in case of the woman, I would never forgive such a mistake. We have right to make a makeup, to wear dresses and skirts, to wear pretty shoes, to polish nails in different colors and to print our hair. How can people with so many options to stay faithful to sad and boring black?

To keep it more trendy and chic I was wearing Retro Beret from Sammydress in a great minimal white color. Actually I've got this model in 4 colors: white, red, grey and brown. It simply turns any look into a more pretty one, adds the touch of Parisian chic and looks cool with my straight hair.

There is a cool bar with a fabulous view in Aharavi close to our house. Me and Pete love to drink there coffee, watch the sea and listen good music. It's very nice during the day because there are not so many people, calm atmosphere and a lot of light. My hubby loves the energy of this place and always happy to go there. Indeed, I would describe The Fuego Bar as a beatiful little corner like Cafe Del Mar in a greek interpretation.
