Have you ever been in Meteora, guys? What a magical place it is with its incredible energy, beauty and soul. The Meteora is a rock formation in central Greece hosting one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, second in importance only to Mount Athos. There are six unique monasteries which are built on immense natural pillars and hill-like rounded boulders that dominate the local area. It is located near the town of Kalambaka at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains.

Lucky me I am going to this place every week and finally ready to share with you some pictures from there. Well the trip from Corfu to Meteora and back will take you one whole day - but be sure it's worth it. First of all you will take a ship which will bring you to mainland through charming Ionian Sea. You will cross all Epirus Region and reach Thessaly. There is a little traditional greek town Kalambaka which is located exactly next to Meteora rocks. There you can visit icon workshop and see how masters create icons.

However visiting monasteries is my favorite part. I have visited 2 of them which are The Monastery of Great Meteoron and The Monastery of Rousanou. Well it's really hard to express with words what I'm thinking and feeling about it... Indescribable delight, appeasement, gratitude and quiet happiness. These Monasteries are like nothing else in this world, you just need to go and to see it once.
